Sun`s Cafe in Quinton

Sun's is a very unique place. Hibachi and Sushi in New Kent County are quite an anachronism. We've done with hibachi with a group of friends and really enjoyed it. You must reserve a table, or a certain number of seats at a table, for hibachi. Sushi is on the menu. The rest of the menu is very bizarre in my opinion, I would have thought there would be Chinese food, but no, it's like burgers and meatloaf and sushi. Either way, Sun is a great hostess and we like the place very much.

This is a GREAT local eatery. While I came for the sushi (as recommended by a buddy), the menu is fairly extensive with American cuisine as well (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Definitely, my "GO TO' for amazing sushi... and doubly so as it is local. 👍06/02/18 UPDATE- Another 5 Star Experience at this amazing little restaurant. Friendly, as always, service and the sushi is simply AMAZING. Someday, I may try something else, but that is a loooong way off. Although the fried porkchop and homemade mac and cheese looked delectable.

The burgers are delicious, and I also enjoy the specials they have...also Suns hamburger steak is fresh ground beef not store bought patties...if you stop by for sushi I highly recommend the Chef Roll or Hawaiian volcano... Good choices of soups too..

Simply delicious. This is an owner run store in New Kent near the Firehouse. Simply excellent sashimi. Not cheap, but I think one taste will convince you why.I would say, "Best sushi in New Kent", but i can't think of another sushi restaurant in New Kent. So I guess it is the uncontested champion. Definitely meant as a compliment!

First and probably the last time. I understand that it’s a family that runs it. But our server was maybe 10 and was very immature and not easy to talk to or ask questions. Her sister was older and kept apologizing. We were waiting for over a hour two get three sushi rolls, only two came out and one of the two was incorrect, I canceled the third order, but the young server brought it to me anyway right as we were leaving and made me pay for it. I gave one star for the one correct sushi roll that was decent. It unfortunate, I was really looking forward to this especially after all the great reviews. But I think I’ll drive 15 mins to Mechanicsville to get sushi next time.

Me & my family love going to suns cafe. We get the hibachi & it’s always delicious! The staff are amazing as well always so nice :)

The best hibachi filet you will ever eat she adds teriyaki sauce to the rice when she cooks it hands-down the only place I would eat hibachi

Go for the sushi and you will not be disappointed! Yes sushi in small town New Kent County. Call ahead for Hibachi reservation if going with a small group. Great place!

Sun's is so much more then it seems on the outside. Ran by a husband and wife, the service is very personable. We got sushi and some appetizers while here. We waited a little for our 4 rolls but when they came out it was worth every bit of the wait. They were SO BIG and full of the freshest ingredients. I am new to the area so this was my 1st time and it will not be my last. Hands down some of the best sushi I have ever had!

Korean style spicy chicken for take out has been consistently tasty and delicious. Service is warm and friendly . Openly inviting atmosphere is what makes this quaintly styled restaurant such atreat.

I love love L O V E the sushi here, amazing sushi and good people. Always recommend if you want quality sushi. Can be pricey but hey, good food, good money.

Amazing sushi. I travel the world. Dont let this buildings exterior fool you. There is a diamond in that square box. Superb service and sushi.

This is the best restaurant in New Kent, and some of the best sushi, that I have had. I highly recommend it. This is a small family restaurant, where they always make you feel welcome.

First of all, this was a disaster. We paid over $50 for our meal for 5 people and the portion sizes were basically nonexistent. The salads were a side salad. The cheese steak was bland and the Ribeye sandwich was 99% bread and .1% steak. .9% was my disappointment in what we had received. And to top it all off they ran out of cheese for the salads. 1/10 would not recommend

The food was great! We love sushi and have been all over the world and it was definitely one of the best we have had. I definitely recommend!
